Color Changing Materials Markets are forecasted to grow at CAGR 6.77% till 2022

 Infinity Research, Dec 2017

Glenview, IL – February 26, 2018 LCR Hallcrest is sharing in thermochromic market growth with cutting edge products and custom formulations that react to environmental changes with a color change that can be permanent or reversible. Active packaging engages consumers, driving your message forward. Additionally, this ability to create active, engaging messaging is crossing over to industrial process control applications where real time visual identification of a manufacturing process enhances quality control.

 ·       High Temperature (60 - 200ºC) permanent color change ink provides evidence of attained high temperature. Perfect for metal fabrication process control where a temperature dependent process can be visualized.

 ·       Photochromic ink reacts to UV light and can be used to indicate excess sun exposure for sun protection products or to indicate that items undergoing UV disinfection are exposed to the necessary wavelength.

 ·       Temperature activated (-10 to 69ºC) thermochromic ink used on labels or packaging will indicate a temperature shift, moving from either clear to color on cooling or color to clear on warming, revealing your message. This reversible change can be used to promote your consumer, safety, or process control message.

 ·       Liquid Crystal color change ink is accurate from 1ºC and is typically used in thermometers, which can be customized with graphic images. Applications range from food safety refrigeration indicators to happy face baby bath thermometers that ensure safe bath temperatures.
