Glenview, IL – September 6, 2017 LCR Hallcrest is pleased to offer the following temperature monitoring systems to assist institutional and school food service with HACCP compliance efforts. Section 4.7 of the Food Code calls for measuring sanitized food contact surfaces and utensils by an irreversible registering temperature indicator”

·         Thermostrip® DL is a single use irreversible, self-adhering and waterproof label that measures the surface temperature of dishware in dish washing machines. Using Thermostrip® DL on a dish surface with each wash cycle will provide evidence that the proper sanitation temperature has been reached.

 ·         Thermostrip® DS is a single use irreversible color changing indicator strip that tests the temperature of the water in your dishwasher and is designed to be dated, initialed and affixed to the wash batch record. Using Thermostrip® DS in a dishwasher with each wash cycle will provide evidence that the proper sanitation temperature has been attained.

              ·         Safetemp™ is a continuous dormant monitoring system that activates when temperature is not correct and reverses once the temperature excursion has been corrected. The Safetemp™ system consists of 5 activation temperatures ranging from 0 to 145ºF and 3 sizes designed to monitor temperature in most food serving/ holding display cases, walk in coolers and freezers. Safetemp™ is black at the correct temperature, lighting up graphically, to indicate a rated temperature has been breached.

“We are excited to offer smart temperature monitors that support a HACCP compliant culture within the food industry.” comments Scott Szafraniec, National Sales Manager, LCR Hallcrest “And we specialize in customizing labels to meet institutional needs.”
